The Word of God tells us that God created us to be loved by Him and to love Him
while experiencing joy and peace in our lives.  Far too many of us do not know the
Biblical "recipe" for receiving these gifts.  If you have
never before tasted of God's goodness, we invite you to try the recipe below.

THE INGREDIENTS

NO1
Understand that God loves you and He wants you to live in peace with Him and receive the gift of eternal life.

"...we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5:1
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

NO2
Through our free will, given to us by God, we have chosen to disobey God.  Our disobedience, called sin, separates us from God.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...the wages of sin is death."
Romans 3:23 6:23
"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." Isaiah 59:2

NO3
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem of separation from God.  He died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, rose from the dead and thereby purchased eternal life for us, which He offers as as free gift.

 

"Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

NO4
We can receive Jesus Christ when we believe in His message and trust in Him alone to save us.

 

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." John 1:12

 

"Whoever call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Romans 10:13

STEPS FOR COMPILING THE INGREDIENTS

• Admit your need (I am a sinner).
• Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
• Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
• Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in to you life by trusting in Christ alone for salvation (receive Him as Savior).
